Image for the poem Sullied

Sullied

Left to fester by such harshness spewed
Teared remnants expel as they're purged
I'd rather be bloodied and bruised
Than punched with the cruelty of words

Place a blow of a clenched fist to my face
Over lines that weaken and perforate
The physical over mental , given any straits
Than inflictions on my mind as they seratte

Be verbal, written or those unreciprocated
Words hurled as weapons, annihilate
Render me guilty, same as being violated
An ability to love or scorn is within our fate
