This entire piece (graphics and spill)
would make an incredible framed piece for a den or lounging area in a home
(enlarge it to about 24" x 36 " and frame)

Thanks, Tallen. Add some pinholes with a light board behind it for added effect with the lights off. Perhaps I can gift you and Sky one day. I'm always giving my stuff away to curators who love it.
Much appreciated.

i love other artists' works!
David Macleod made for me 2 jpgs of digital art
after i saw his works in the Gallery and asked him if he would make me a baby hippo with mom hippo and i asked him how much and he said he doesn't charge.
I have in my domicile right now about 7 different types of art from various friends.
Me and Em would be giggly delighted to receive something like this from You!!

Supporting artists ( even if just complimenting or spreading the word ) is just as important as supporting poets - it's all feast or famine, isn't it?

It is indeed and i never fail to promote
artists.
When a piece resonates i have a " Big Mouth "
and want to share the art and the artist with all my

This flows from somewhere 'out there' to somewhere very grounded. A beautiful tribute with an unusual rhythm pattern working within it.

That is exactly the essence of Saturn in retrograde, Poppy. I'll be glad to ground out and get my hands dirty in May.
Thank you. xo

Indeed. Too many think they have to explain their actions to others vs simply live their own life. I'm happy you liked it, and am proud to be of your tribe

Beautifully said. I love seeing the poetic relationship you two have by the way, even if it's sometimes more evident in the notes than the poems themselves (although they are all love poems, I suppose).

On the one hand, I'd love to meet you both in real life someday. On the other hand, what is this, if not real life?

Good question, my friend. Reality is a matter of perception. If we're ever out in Cali we'll holla!

Thank you, Jen! I have missed you. Been so busy with NaPo I've tried to make the rounds outside of the registered poets! I hope I haven't' missed much and will catch up!

As so often a poem that flows freely and masterfully.
I do like the idea of a tribe! The folk in my tribe give me heartache - that makes them all the more worthwhile. Or maybe I’m foolishly determined to keep them after the emotional energy invested.
Nit-picking me .... does “who doesn’t” need the semicolon?
I like the last two lines a lot!!

I think we all have a tribe - those we meld with in positive energy.
I struggled with that semi, but because I had used what and who to separate the two independent clauses, I wanted the third to be connected - yet separate in its own sense.
Not sure if that's a logical statement or not. lol.

Ah! I see now. I thought that it was “... who doesn’t // glean your crop ...”
But now I see that L1 and 2 are questions. maybe a question mark for clarity.
What works for you;
who doesn’t (?)
Glean your crop ...

Thanks, Jadey! I greatly appreciate that. I've been studying astrology for about 33 years now - and there is definitely something connective about it.
Thank you for the RL honor.

Re. Saturn in Retrograde
I regret I am not too intellectual
My limitations are well known
Thus I may like to say I am a poet only
not knowing a subject well enough
I don't dwell in it
pardon my silliness
In future shall take care
I hope you will understand
I rarely comment

Re: Re. Saturn in Retrograde
d00d - chill. It's a poem, not an apparition or bad omen.
The correct term is “apparent retrograde motion”. Astronomers refer to this because it is an optical illusion appearing only a few times a year depending upon the relative positions of the planets orbiting the sun.
Astrology for retrograde depends on the planet associated with the illusion. In this case, Saturn. Which is said to be the god of agriculture, founder of civilizations and of social order, and conformity. Its rings reflect the idea of human limitations.
Retrogrades, or these illusions ( much like our existence ) are not bad juju - they're simple occurrences; however, to astrologers, they're very significant, much as the moon in regards to ocean tides.

If you're really interested in astrology, I highly recommend reading
Autobiography of a Yogi, which tells the story of Paramhansa Yogananda's evolving relationship with astrology, here is an extract that might bend your neurons well:
"Astrology is the study of man's response to planetary stimuli. The stars have no conscious benevolence or animosity; they merely send forth positive and negative radiations. Of themselves, these do not help or harm humanity but offer a lawful channel for the outward operation of cause-effect equilibriums which each man has set into motion in the past.
[. . .]
"A child is born on that day and at that hour when the celestial rays are in mathematical harmony with his individual karma. His horoscope is a challenging portrait, revealing his unalterable past and its probable future results. But the natal chart can be rightly interpreted only by men of intuitive wisdom: these are few.
[. . .]
"The message boldly blazoned across the heavens at the moment of birth is not meant to emphasize fate - the result of past good and evil - but to arouse man's will to escape from his universal thralldom.
[. . .]
"What he has done, he can undo. None other than himself was the instigator of the causes of whatever effects are now prevalent in his life. He can overcome any limitation, because he created it by his own actions in the first place, and because he has spiritual resources which are not subject to planetary pressure."
Bon Appetit!
