Heart of the 'Hollow
Title: Heart of the 'Hollow
Twenty Seven of Thirty
Unique Words: One Hundred and Fourteen
#NaPoWriMo19
I harvested your spirit,
shared you with Gods
yet you remained grounded, love
- against all the odds.
I sold you for goodness,
no coins to be won,
wanted them to notice
how placid one could become.
I painted your riches,
displayed you in town,
called those to witness
the sanctuary I'd found.
We let them see your scars
and beautiful grace,
we let them come inside
to admire your face.
When the gate will close again
I will kiss your feet
and worship you quietly
when I take my seat.
Though I'll never rest in you -
not properly,
for you are the love of life,
more than property.
All you have in you
I'll praise with my time,
I'll tend to you daily
with my body and mind.
Dear lover, Rockhollow
when I rest tonight,
know you are mercy,
you're forgiveness and light.
All gardens - life-givers -
are the Gods after all,
you give peace to many
whenever they fall.
From flower to worm,
butterfly to bee,
there's nothing on this gracious Earth
more precious to me.
