A Sadness Sings
A sadness sings to heart each day in whispered songs of sorrow
Of, longings lost along life's way in yesterdays of morrow
But, still this heart beats out through time, beyond this graying shore;
searching over oceans wide, for the one love Fate adorned
For in one's life, if Fortune sways, the reign of love does seek,
a special place inside two hearts, forever in its keep
And so the stars above, this night, will shine until the dawn
When songs of sadness rise the Past to sing of love no more
