One More Beer
It’s getting pretty cold out here
On the outskirts of your love
Think I’ll have just one more beer
Though it never seems like enough
I wanted to just put you out
Out of my home and my heart
The battle has come to an end
But it seems like it’s about to start
I never even saw this coming
And I’m the one who led us here
Thought I’d fill the hole inside
Instead I’ll have one more beer
But you’re holding a shovel
I don’t know how to plug it
Yet this hole that I speak of
You are the one who dug it
I know the feelings come and go
And I shouldn’t even feel this way
You never earned that right from me
But I know that I’ll be okay someday
It looks like this is my last beer
The eighteen pack is already gone
How can you make the right choices
And still feel this damn wrong?
On the outskirts of your love
Think I’ll have just one more beer
Though it never seems like enough
I wanted to just put you out
Out of my home and my heart
The battle has come to an end
But it seems like it’s about to start
I never even saw this coming
And I’m the one who led us here
Thought I’d fill the hole inside
Instead I’ll have one more beer
But you’re holding a shovel
I don’t know how to plug it
Yet this hole that I speak of
You are the one who dug it
I know the feelings come and go
And I shouldn’t even feel this way
You never earned that right from me
But I know that I’ll be okay someday
It looks like this is my last beer
The eighteen pack is already gone
How can you make the right choices
And still feel this damn wrong?
