Would You Sing My Song For Me?
Every lyric born in the sunshine of yesterday
Found solace in the silence of dying thunderstorms
Each flash made me blink as the years wasted away
Washed aside with the tears that rained on my parade
The dreams that started in the early evening moonlight
Ended quietly in the rising darkness of last night
It's too late for me now to live the life I left behind
But if you will sing this song long after I am gone
A little piece of me will be reborn in the fiery sunset
That I remember glowing with a warming light within
Then the loneliness won't seem quite so cold
The darkness won't keep me from finding you
and the emptiness won't keep my heart from filling with the hope
That in eternity we will finally be free to embrace this mornings impossibility
