Gift of Love
When the night is cold
And solace is far
Let your body warm me
When my throat is parched
And my thirst is great
Let your lips quench me
When my body is weary
And worn by aches
Let your hands soothe me
When my mind is lost
And I cannot see the light
Let your wisdom guide me
When my faith is shattered
And I lay broken
Let your love rebuild me
When you're not near
And I am alone
Let my heart keep you
Forever
And always
I have no religion
But I have devotion and prayer
I offer no worship
But that I offer to you.
And solace is far
Let your body warm me
When my throat is parched
And my thirst is great
Let your lips quench me
When my body is weary
And worn by aches
Let your hands soothe me
When my mind is lost
And I cannot see the light
Let your wisdom guide me
When my faith is shattered
And I lay broken
Let your love rebuild me
When you're not near
And I am alone
Let my heart keep you
Forever
And always
I have no religion
But I have devotion and prayer
I offer no worship
But that I offer to you.
