Silent Killer

There's no particular way to begin
This clarification to override your subtle declination
Who I am or what I do needs no explanation
Just know....I do it
I've taken the roots which im from
and I'll use it to mold the woman ill become
never judge a book by its cover
You assume im an ant in the big corporate world
You may think im the one taking the hit
But by this presumed ant you can still get bit
Don't try me
Aren't you tired of learning the same lesson again and again?
Keep hating, my grinding will resume
even though weakness in me is what you presume
Continue to hold on, my elevation is in progress
Me growing stronger, you dread this process
They say im too quiet
don't be fooled
if they really want a thriller.....
they'll learn the hard way that
Even the shy girl can be the silent killer.

Author's Note
Another one from my archives. This poem was written a few months after starting a new job back in 2013. I was treated horribly for no reason and judged simply because I chose to not stir up drama, be rude and over the top. Instead I was soft spoken and tried my best to treat everyone with respect and I was on the shy side. To others, being slightly different automatically meant you we're a bad person. In reality, I was being my own person as we should all be. The woman who did all these horrible things to me is no longer on my radar. I wished her well and I rose above it all. ☺ The lesson here? Never let other people change the good person you are. You can thrive by just being you. Kill the haters with your kindness and success😘
