It’s funny you should ask, I need to hurl!
Excuse the tint of green across my face,
This rodeo’s a first for this cowgirl,
Right in the middle of a poem’s pace.

To have me sully every word of grace,
It’s funny you should ask, I need to hurl!
There’ll be nothing to show without a trace,
When everything I ate starts to unfurl.

My gut decides and says give it a whirl,
As if myself and I are in a race.
It’s funny you should ask, I need to hurl!
A bead of sweat as I begin to brace.

And when it finally stops a thanks I send,
I hate to be a boor, seem like a churl.
But comes a surging at the other end —
It’s funny you should ask, I need to hurl!
