Paradise

pitta patter
words that matter
footprints left on sand

around the fire
tribes they gather
stories shared hand in hand

unconfined
not counting minutes
exploring delights
without a price

like-minded people
unshackled spirits
a bohemian’s
paradise

workshops
classes
and group dances
harmoniously
collectively
together

laughing along
to our infinite chances
we’re one
in our hearts its forever

no matter the culture
or the ethnicity
we all flew here
to ascend

with this simplicity
without toxicity
this experience
was a perfect blend

Author's Note
My boyfriend and I travelled to Panama for two weeks. We stayed at this festival, that was like no other, a spiritual family of physical strangers. It was out of this world and he wanted to make a poem to try to remember our experience. This is our first collaboration, as he also creates his own poetry. This is just a glimpse into a place you should see - Tribal Gathering Festival now holds a special place in our hearts. From myself and Jonny, hope you enjoyed this read
