overcome

I sometimes am overcome with emotions,
When I see the smile of a dog or hear the laughter of a child.
When I find life overwhelms me when an obstacle seems too large ,
when I'm making a mountain out of a molehill.
When I feel the shame of my past when the smile on my face hides the tears of my heart when life tries to keep  me down
Your love for me  the warmth of your fire within my soul,
The sun on my face and the smell of the morning dew washes this dirty world clean ,Your love is real your forgiveness is without judgment or condition , You've always waited for me to come home my head down my spirit broken my will all but obliterated, But tearfully I cry out to you and father you always answer, And through your eyes I can see the me that you see and again I am unburdened by my shortcomings cause my mistakes are where they belong in my past  and thankfully by your sons sacrifice I am new  I tread this path falling and stumbling finding my walk is more like a crawl. Father I am so greatful for your love my faith in you has brought me home so many times for all the ugly I have survived. All that this world has thrown at me my faith in you has overcome.
