"Why do I Still See You?"
Why do I still see you,
When the tears flow from my eyes?
Why do I still see you…
When the smile fades away?
How do I still see you
When my heart aches and bleeds?
How is it that I can feel you
When my dreams begin to fade?
If you remember me, sigh…but sing not,
Your voice is far too precious for my tears.
I will be bewinged, but so far from you…
Perhaps a winter will open by your side?
You were in the rain-swept sunrise.
In the swaying branches of the storm.
I saw you walking when I closed my eyes,
But only emptiness was on the other side.
I am drowning in the sky
On the wings of a sparrow.
I pray I can reach you at the Gates,
With my blood between my fingers.
Was there ever a dawn like our farewell?
I recall my tears, but never your voice.
How is it that I can hear you
When the sun rises and the moon is dim?
