First picnic of 2019
All is quiet as we recline languorously in early Spring heat
our repast eaten, we stretch out; rebellious in our natural state
silence broken by a buzzing insect indifferent to this display of skin
we lie somnolent; relishing this one small token of our defiance
a gleefully mutinous insubordination and lack of social approbation
our naturism; an appreciation of each other's bodies laid bare
I enjoy watching the dappled sunlight play across your frame
as I trail my fingertips, caressing your curves and lustrous hair
you arch your back, legs parted, lips pouting; Lady, I know your game
but as I rise to your invitation you shriek and leap to your feet
sprinting across meadow grass into the copse of new budded trees
whilst I'm still down on my knees; I catch a glimpse of your pale silhouette
and with a wry smile ... I hunt you down with carnal greed
