Victory

The battlefield was laid out in front of him
A lovely landscape for his eyes to behold
Every peak and valley a position to control
Planning was key, fingers plotting their routes
Trails left from digits, the sensations ink
Drawing out the pool where the naval forces would sink
Taking the high ground was necessary
Such places were essential to battle
The squeeze at the peaks making the map rattle
Acting fast was a folly for fools
The descent toward the valley made with a slow slack
To come down against either delicate side in a pincer attack
Thus were such things when it came to strategy
That despite the feeling of a rising oak
His hand came where the supplies could be choked
To dismantle a foe piece by piece
Came the noises that sounded off in sheets
At the sheer blissful agony that coincided with defeat
The conditions for victory were met
Leaving thy enemies in such sweet splendor
The ultimate prize achieved, surrender
