A Leisurely Stroll Through The Valley
i'm not too deep i suppose
i gave you shallow waters for your benefit
cuz you had the habit of speaking in a forked tongue
riling my demon-titans
it's a vibe thing
you come off as anti-matter movement
emotional harasser
projecting restless nights
and shadowy dreams
looking for respite in someone
else's misery..
there's no mystery to you
you over played your hand
in the game of life
overstayed your welcome at emerald city
the color stained your soul's interior
karma left you a gift basket
full of Easter eggs
you should chill for a minute
let them hatch
like fortune cookies
there's a lesson and a blessing
in the hell you created for yourself
trust me..i know it hurts...i can see it in your faux ego
the tiny cracks in the masks you wear
still
it's your task to bear alone
it's your customized monkey-crucifix
that's shackled to your back
bending your will and your spine
the sun will continue to beam down truth serum
to help with vampiristic tendencies
yet your lips crack from millennial thirst
still drinking from mirages in the desert of the reel
punch drunk on delusions
dearth of wizdom rankles you
humility is your salvation i promise you
there is wealth in the mud
you just need to appreciate it's
heavy texture
but like pearls before swine
you hurl them about as spite filled epithets
recklessly abandoned
still blaming the spinning world
still throwing stones and hiding your hand
gas-lighting to no end
cuz you think your glass house was
built with tinted windows
yeah ok...
psssst..
someone in your circle should
have pulled your coat a long time ago
and told you your slip was hanging
the fact that no one ever cared to speaks volumes
or maybe they did and
you just chose to keep banging your head
whatever the case...
i give you my sincere apologies for
whistling past your graveyard
i didn't mean to wake you...i really didn't
i was just passing through
