Within The Rain
[quatern]
Within the rain is my comfort,
From the raging that singles out
A nobody such as myself,
Giving me all of the honor.
In the storm’s cold, wet baptism,
Within the rain is my comfort,
With my Lord in the dark runoff
Who is all steadfast as my strength.
And will giveth life to the land,
Molding thus, shaping from the fires.
Within the rain is my comfort,
Blessing seeds and I with rebirth.
I praise His deep voice in thunder
Which courses from the sky to me.
Embracing heart & soul, the way
Within the rain is my comfort.

My thanks to you cold fusion poet, who has such warmth within. And the Reading List is something that always makes me want to hold onto something as I sit... if I wasn't already sitting.
And me too, I've always loved the rain. You and I, I suspect neither of us lives where we ever get to see much of it. Except lately here on the Pacific west coast.

Bravo on your first quatern, Kathy! I found it to be prayer-like, devotional, even. I have always found the rain a comforting occurrence - it forces the world to break and slow down.
This is a form I haven't braved yet ( I think Jade intimidates me ). But I do have one in the works I've been fiddling with.

Dear Ahavati, I'm grateful you found my effort worthwhile... and the RL addition is such an unexpected joy.
I would love to see how your first attempt is faring but I know it's a very personal think - it certainly was for me. And as you, I'm filled with anticipation to see the final casting.
