~So Easy~

What things, in need, do we perceive
To be the dreams of which we’ve dreamed
Though, all in all, we’ve been deceived
Through years of loneliness we see.
So we speed through thoughts received
Telling to cautiously proceed
All because we can’t believe
There’s better things to help us breathe.
So we suffocate ourselves, in need
When all it took was to believe
That our own worth could fill the sea.
To think it could be so easy
To know your worth and be happy.
So why are we so blind to these
Unhealthy traits and inner pleas
To just slow down and feel a breeze
To take our time and find release
In all the things we’ve loved and dreamed.
So easy, or so it seems.
To see your life so plainly
Played out once it’s too late to breathe.
