Feline Valentine
(a sonnet)
In days of future past when all remains
Are chances sought of all such loves revere
In thoughtful praise of body's entertains
And thoughtful raise of body's wanting sphere.
I will remain as ever in your grace
And deeper still, as ever in your heart.
As ever bound in universe embrace,
As ever found to seek your deepest parts.
Though cats are bound to stalk their prey at night,
Both tigers and old toms, it’s all the same.
I'm bound to mouth my prayers in full day light,
And seek the blood and flesh of softer game.
I find in salty wash, the taste of you,
And glisten' sun your rainbow wash imbew.
