Night Terror
Paralyzed
Helpless with nothing more than a gasp for air.
I know this feeling all to well as your pall silhouette lurks near.
Slowly closing in, my heart races as my body tortures me. Stagnant
Chest pounding, I hear my breath inside my head drowning out all sound.
Eyes clenched to avoid my glance upon your face, pale as the moon glistens.
You will not leave until I bare witness, mustered courage with an abrupt opening of lids
you’re inches from my face glaring into my mind why do you torment me so , what do you wish to find.
A slight twitch in my limbs sends you back. Slowly retreating as I can move , you only face me when I’m vulnerable and feed on the blood red moon.
