Abyss
Hey...I can see you over there
the other side of the canyon
I see you and you see me
but we can not touch
We can only wave
and inbetween is the abyss
Building a bridge will take a while
I miss you...
the other side of the canyon
I see you and you see me
but we can not touch
We can only wave
and inbetween is the abyss
Building a bridge will take a while
I miss you...

I know...we talk every day over messenger. I know now how it feels to Mexicans who leave their folks behind to go to the US...even though I am not Mexican.

Hang in there , Angelast...
This too shall pass , but that is a long time...
Must be lonely sometimes and like
part of you is missing...
You have my best thoughts and
wishes for you and him...
It is , however good to "see" you...

Thanks Black, good to see you too. We have been apart for a few months before, but always with the option to see each other. This is the first time we can't. Different feel.
We are working on it though. It is hard to make money these days, especially when you have a physical disability, but I am getting there.

To write it is to seek to manage it. That helps. A bit.
I can relate to this experience. My parents raised 9 children, of whom I am the eighth. When my younger brother was 6 and I 9, Papa travelled to the UK to work with British Rails. In the 11 years he spent in that job, he came back home only once -- at the end of the first 5 years -- and went back for 6 more until retirement.
Papa came home to his family in 1973 and lived a good 34 years more.
Mama, now 106, still gets a spouse's pension from British Rails.
But nothing can pay for the 11-year gap.
