life in monochrome

I come to you
quietly with reverence
I don't wish to disturb;
your silent waters

your heart speaks to me
of dawn at midnight
cherry blossoms in winter

with an artist's eye
you survey the world
but fail to see what I do~

sepia undertones
cast against onyx skies
is the soul before me

in still life your beauty captured
a black and white photo you took
and put in your back pocket

so you could remember;
what you look like...
before all the pain

I am the tempest
who sees your true reflection
I mirror it back to you

so you would know...the man I see
free from the monochrome
