Tick tock tick tock tick tock
God or Satan make this stop
Not the clock ticking but my body
Convulsing vomiting
No sleep in days
But its my choosing that has me here
Cuz opiates give me no fear
Perks Vikes morphine.......you get it
the opiod family is why I'm here
As I lay in my cigarette burnt blanket
I realize I'm a junky without heroin
I'm detoxing got the shakes an squirts
My hole fuckin body hurts
But it is what it is
I'm a junky my friends.......
All I need is one so I can rest

thanks for sharing. i've never tried opiates, that sounds like a bad deal man, i hope you can get over it *crosses fingers*, if that's what you want to do(i've heard there are clinics that give you methadone to help wean you off opiates). otherwise i hope you have a steady supply of opiates so you dont have to hurt anymore :)

i like this one, just got out of rehab 2 days ago for heroin, so i can also relate to the just one more bullshit

I really like this poem. I was addicted to opiates for 4 years, so I understand that feeling of needing "one" more, and being sick, the insomnia, the aches, I could never imagine going back to that lifestyle! I also like where you said "its my choosing that has me here", most addicts blame the drugs, but you owned up to your addiction and admitted that it was your own doing that got you to where you were. Nice poem, good job :-)
