...and Death Came
Tell me Mary,
what did you hear when eternity was calling?
how did it feel to pass through that door?
because in the darkness beyond
all the stars shining in the distance
were saying your name.
All your strength and courage,
all your wisdom and experience,
never left your side,
at the pass into infinity
I’d to think you smiled peacefully ,
serenely
because you gave this world something so valuable.
The legacy you’ve left behind…
the works of art that fill the heart with wonder
are a testament to the human race
that when death comes we should not fear
leaving this earth
but look forward to becoming immortal.
