She Stands
She stands
A firm pillar in the setting sun
Her deep pain not only just begun
She stands
A stone against the howling wind
Adamant that she is thick skinned
She stands
Amidst cold slapping waves
Positive she is not pains slave
She stands
As darkness falls across the land
Resolute and strong but with tender hand
She stands
Certain of her many sins to atone
But, this beauty, does not stand alone
She stands
Firm comforting hand on her shoulder
The support of all those who love and behold her.
