‘Ta-rah, love...’
Love. One word, four letters,
But two decades of longing
To hear you say it to me.
Safe. One word, four letters,
The rarest feeling in my life
Except with you.
Hope. One word, four letters,
Which sustains me in my tempest-tossed world
As much as it torments me
With impossibility.
But not all love is equal
And Life is rarely fair.
Love. One word, four letters,

Amen, another four letter word symbolizing agreement. Though I don't believe life is supposed to be fair; it's a series of experiences that prepare us for the next. Injustice and pain are inevitable contrasts.

Thank you, Ahavati. A lot of my recent writing has been my way of resolving the conflicting complexity of my feelings for a dear friend.
Although I once thought he might be ‘The One’, I’ve come to understand and appreciate the depth and endurance of our friendship. I’m delighted and relieved that he feels the same and would not give up what we have rediscovered in each other.
