I think the answer to your question is no for me and where I am coming from.  Let us break it into parts:  Can a person love someone enough?  Enough is the Tell Tale Heart hidden under the boards of the floor...and we know where that came from.   to want them to be happy even if that means being without them?  Getting back to the person of it, can or may or will he or she love.  So much said.  Next part: to want them to be happy.  Love is always interested in the other.  I am hoping that happiness is a desire for the beloved.  If this was loving God then holy would be held above happiness.  Last part: and this is the killer or the life giver. even if that means being without them?  The point of the inquiry.  The middle ground.  I could almost relent and change my answer to yes.  But let us stick with no and say that when you enter the absence of another and the communion of them then the separation would seem to negate love.  But such is the mode of many loves today.  It is very confusing.  But soon I would tire of such an arrangement of trying to play the martyr.  I can love enough.  I can want them to be happy enough.  But my ego will not let love exist in the void without them being there and me being there and us being together.  Being without them would be outside my sphere of understanding.  Call me simple.  Smile.
