Shame is Blind
Rich boy, you can't tell me
Why your pockets are empty
It's too hard to realize ignorance
Let the thief pick your pockets
Tough one, i see no tears
Not too tender for fighting fears
Yet you sit, strong and silent
Pain from a lost fight won't relent
Here, the one dressed in black
Too numb now to realize
You beloved won't hold you back
Instead you kiss and apologize
Ambassador before crowds of all ages
With these talks it's hard to speak
Bleeding though your bandages
And gunfire roaring at its peak
I raise my glass to you
I blow my horn for you
Dress in white for you
Raise a shield for you
Come up on our shoulders
No more shame to hide from
Let the guilt roll back…
Back where it belongs
Why your pockets are empty
It's too hard to realize ignorance
Let the thief pick your pockets
Tough one, i see no tears
Not too tender for fighting fears
Yet you sit, strong and silent
Pain from a lost fight won't relent
Here, the one dressed in black
Too numb now to realize
You beloved won't hold you back
Instead you kiss and apologize
Ambassador before crowds of all ages
With these talks it's hard to speak
Bleeding though your bandages
And gunfire roaring at its peak
I raise my glass to you
I blow my horn for you
Dress in white for you
Raise a shield for you
Come up on our shoulders
No more shame to hide from
Let the guilt roll back…
Back where it belongs
