American Hero
Many Americans
from childhood on
have an unconscious identity
with the “Hero Archetype”
which dominates their
character and fascination with
death and near death experience
Their life story reflects
many formative years
of forceful indoctrination
and happenstance
easily channeled into
competitive sports
and military service
where they can relate
to their peers
and form relationships.
There are no safety nets
for returning vets
damaged during their
time in service
except for the
camaraderie
of other homeless
stressed out
mentally challenged
People
living by their wits
on the streets
These homeless
street people
are survivors
living free
on the fringe
of society
where the
Misfits Fit
