Let It Snow -------- (Haikus 7.0) by David Macleod
(i) Gender
snowmen, snowwomen
Is there a real difference
Yes some have snow balls
(ii) Hips
the infirm and snow
are not such good bedfellows
broken hips replaced
(iii) Seeing
I can't see the snow
though it is thick on the ground
eyes wide: Snow Blindness
(iv) Blue
It's a Blue Christmas
for the snowbound elderly
hypothermia Kills
(v) White
whiteness of snow
Christmas depression follows
forecast suicide
(vi) Blood
blood is on the snow
domestic violence spikes
such festive beatings
(vii) Slush
the snow turns to slush
a brief smile turns to dark thoughts
of morbidity
