Sealed your quill in drying ink
letters in passionate blaze –
I wonder – perchance –
did you [hear] a fly buzz –
or see the window darken in Death
as you penned you would –

What a splendid birthday tribute. If only she knew how many generations of poets she influenced. Perhaps she would have tended to those unfinished poems of hers, instead of insisting they be burned along side those letters? We'll never know, but at least we can appreciate what we have of her. ❤📝

I have never been a fan of Dickinson. That being said, I think this was an incredible tribute to her in content and form. Well done, and a splendid work. She would be proud no doubt
