Almost it seemed like spring
The warming sun and fresh rain
The songs of birds all around
And a lightening of spirit.

But I know the cold will return
Stripping back the life and love
And once again desolation will creep in.
Why can’t it just stay spring?

That last line is a good question. The cold has settled in L.A. Loved this poem as an ode to my favorite season.

Yes, inspired by a brief respite in the cold UK weather. It's back to being cold again today.
