"Perks" of being a Doctor: Part 2

We treat them but in return they kill us a little inside. How can we survive if this is the only option to their cure.

Most decompress with distractions whether they are good or bad to their health and some ending their time here on earth.

I saw a 2 year old trauma patient who came unconscious with his head swollen at the back of his neck and his eyes swollen too. He was not breathing. My friend and I were trying to do a failing CPR we knew it was failing but we didn't know what else to do. We contacted a GP and then surgical residents came but they couldn't do anything either. The child is brain dead who probably will die soon.

It was a road traffic accident in which the driver was making a curve and hit the child as he was trying to cross the road. A sad story which probably happens often and all I can do is write about it.

I am sorry we have failed you young one.
If the roads, the cars, the driving system, the medical emergency protocol was better maybe this wouldn't have happened.
