Rather than focus on the torment of not knowing focus on the happy moments and feelings you are aware of. It may not be much but its better than nothing--- at least thats the disillusionment Most of us accept--- conversely, dont stay and settle for second best if you're Truly that unhappy.

Writing poetry is about expressing how you feel. You might want to try reflecting on the positive aspects of you feelings, but to suggest you not convey what is in your heart is foolish. Locking up your feelings inside is unhealthy, so keep letting them out. And this poem is very straight forward. Someone else is not expressing their feelings, not telling you what you need to know, not just want to know, but need to know to move on with your life, as you said. If this person cannot express what they are feeling, perhaps this person is unworthy of your love. No one should enter a relationship without being open to expressing their feelings. Relationships are all about expressing feelings for each other. People engaged in love owe it to each other to be honest. Love is not cruel, people are cruel. Love is the only thing worth anything when all is said and done. Don't blame love for bad feelings or non-expression, love is the purest form of expression. Someone is either not in love or unable to express it. Keep encouraging that expression. If nothing comes, it is time to move on without them.

exactly! I have a hard time letting go...especially when the other is not straightforward...if I don't want to continue a relationship, I take my stuff, say adios and move on. I don't understand just deciding not to talk to someone with no resolution. Wtf?
