Oyster: Dance Metaphor
In the city
Where anything
And everything
Could’ve been
Turned
Against you
As a weapon;
We were
Working
Hard
To Sharpen
Our own
Oyster
Knife.
(Detaching to survive)
(And I don’t know
What kind of animals
That made us
In some ways
More vicious
Behind
The closed studio doors
Than what
Was
Supplying the streets)
Where anything
And everything
Could’ve been
Turned
Against you
As a weapon;
We were
Working
Hard
To Sharpen
Our own
Oyster
Knife.
(Detaching to survive)
(And I don’t know
What kind of animals
That made us
In some ways
More vicious
Behind
The closed studio doors
Than what
Was
Supplying the streets)
