A Girl in Infinity
Across from me sits a girl from Infinity
Staring blindly at me as she taps on her phone
Her two front teeth are stained a nicotine-induced yellow
Her eyes heavy from one too many sleepless night
She tells me about how she’s lost all her friends
And how she loves Boy A but can’t stop it with Boy B
Still in yesterday’s outfit
Time seems to move right past her
She sips at a jet black coffee
Hoping to catch up to
Her interest fading faster than her highlights
She asks me questions about love and money
Like they were the exact same thing
This is a girl from Infinity
This is the girl I loved
Staring blindly at me as she taps on her phone
Her two front teeth are stained a nicotine-induced yellow
Her eyes heavy from one too many sleepless night
She tells me about how she’s lost all her friends
And how she loves Boy A but can’t stop it with Boy B
Still in yesterday’s outfit
Time seems to move right past her
She sips at a jet black coffee
Hoping to catch up to
Her interest fading faster than her highlights
She asks me questions about love and money
Like they were the exact same thing
This is a girl from Infinity
This is the girl I loved
