Floating Into A New Life

have you ever felt like a leaf
catching the wind just right
drifting into a new day of life

wondering where it will take you
will they be here for more than a ride
or blown away as you exhale

breathing as if your spirit is free
all the while hoping for a soft landing
wrapping around anyone who luvs back

holding on tight till the next breeze
takes you floating down another rapid
further away from all you’ve known


Inspiration~
~on my way to work a leaf drifted upon my wiper blade,
wrapped around it for a few miles,
then the wind took it to another wind shield~
