I am the seemingly dark ----
The shadow behind the ink.
You portray the innocent heart
yet mixed, we’re the same, I think.
Separately, together we met,
from different broken lives;
Still craving “real love,” I bet ----
needing answers to our “whys.”
You still have a part of me;
No ---- I don’t want it back.
Finally, over emotionally,
workin’ on the thinkin’ I lack
for I still think of You,
sometimes…
And how
I am the seemingly dark ----
The shadow behind the ink.
You portray the innocent heart
Yet mixed, we’re the same, I think.
I used to be Your fuel
Oil lamp lights the way.
Now only a tool
for blame and death to sway
keeping Your ink at bay.
You are seemingly dark ----
The shadow behind the ink.
I tried to portray an innocent heart
Yet mixed, we’re the same, I think.
The shadow behind the ink.
You portray the innocent heart
yet mixed, we’re the same, I think.
