I can't say that I understand what it is like to be you
Though I certainly am grateful to be with you as you go through
These fleeting moments we call life

I think it is an understatement to say
That the man you are today
Is of a superior quality

In a world full of change
Your love, patience, and wisdom have remained
Shaping me into who I am

Please never forget that you are as beautiful as souls come
The brightest of hearts under our sun
A legend in your own right
