Unknown Sickness And My Unusual Experience

It started one evening after I was awoken by a breathing noise in my ear, it startled me but I fell back asleep. I didn't give it much thought at the time.

I woke earlier that morning, the sun hadn't peeked through the darkness yet. I made coffee and toast, and sat down to watch TV. The news was on every channel, it was reporting that the sun has failed to rise. The time was 9:00 am I didn't notice until now. I decided to go outside. It was very cold and the clouds were moving quickly as if the wind was blowing hard but I could not feel any wind. It was creepy and dark. I can hear the breathing noise again as if it was waiting for me to notice that it never left. I searched for a source of the noice but couldn't find one. I went to the neighbors house but no one answered the door. They have a dog but it didn't bark like usual. It was silent very very silent. I walked out to the corner of the street but there were no cars zooming by just silence and I noticed the breathing noise again. It followed me. I decided to go back inside and call my family. I called my mom first but the phone rang and no voicemail. I tried calling my brother same thing happened. I can hear the breathing noise again. This time it sounded like it was close to my head, it got louder. I put my hands over my ears but that didn't work it just got louder. I was getting agitated. I decided to go to the bathroom and wash my face. As I turned on the light I had a flash of faces looking at me and they look like they were trying to say something but I didn't have time to respond. I turned on the water and I looked up at the mirror, there were people standing behind me waving their arms at me as if trying to get my attention. I blinked slowly but they didn't leave. I turned around but nothing was there but the shower. I turned back to look at the mirror and they were gone. I can hear the breathing noise again but I can also hear a beeping. Like a heartbeat thudding in my head. I thought I was losing my mind. I ended up back in the bedroom, I laid down on the bed. I slowly became aware that I am waking up I blinked slowly and the room faded into view. It was bright and sunny. All of a sudden my family and friends were beside me asking me how I feel. They were excited to see I am awake. My mom told me what happened. I got sick two days ago and they took me to the hospital. I was in and out of consciousness for two days.

I am lucky to be alive. I was very sick. I stayed in the hospital for five days. The doctor never figured out what made me so sick. I have had this twice in my life, the first time I got sick I was five years old. They did tests but no answer to my problem. I guess it's a mystery we'll never solve.
