No-vember
It's right there in the title
as I muscle down another pill
sobriety a societal faux pas
a celebratory crucible of war
but we want peace
poisoned and positioned
a division
thought out to precision
cries of dispair
if it left no one would care
but we don't need war
and we don't need words
my heart bleeds your name
I know yours does the same
the ritual, the darkness of the dance
candlelight
just right
the fire in those eyes
a succulent surprise
we get lost in our minds
but I don't mind
yes you're one of a kind
the softness of you
taps love notes on my heart
as I muscle down another pill
sobriety a societal faux pas
a celebratory crucible of war
but we want peace
poisoned and positioned
a division
thought out to precision
cries of dispair
if it left no one would care
but we don't need war
and we don't need words
my heart bleeds your name
I know yours does the same
the ritual, the darkness of the dance
candlelight
just right
the fire in those eyes
a succulent surprise
we get lost in our minds
but I don't mind
yes you're one of a kind
the softness of you
taps love notes on my heart
