Candlelit essence encircles life's dance
before two sets of sparkling eyes
a delicate blue where dreams are alive
and hopes of wishes coming true
 
a slight hush permeates the room
as that yearly song is sung
flashes filter and capture that dimple
so simple, but the feeling's never wrong
 
heartbeats amid the happiness
no better gift to be found
whispers echo through the moonlight
