Humanity
I sat down wrapped in the pure silk of some thoughts
Untold and unaccepted by a screaming, shackled conscience.
I watched my frail human body and I said to myself
With spite in my voice “Man how feeble can you be!
And you want to be a God! To incarnate, to create stellar trinkets!
You are nothing! A pile of bones forgotten by an awkward God”.
I breathe accelerating chemical processes hardly understood
I love and fuck at the mercy of a drug overdose,
Oxytocin and endorphins are engulfing me
Because of You, oh, body of mine!
But maybe someday I’ll grow
And I’ll put my fists in the chest of a star,
Heating my frozen hands in its helium heart.
I’ll take a red giant and play basketball with a black hole.
In my fist I shall collect star systems
Like a child collects pebbles
And unlike Him I shall play dice with the Universe
