Suicidal
Be honest with yourself
How many of you rolled your eyes
When you saw the title
Then didn't read the poem?
So think carefully
How many of you rolled your eyes
Read the first two lines
But didn't read the rest?
Another thought
How many of you did not roll your eyes
Had no emotional reaction at all
And deliberately ignored the poem?
Consider yourself
How many felt empathy or compassion enough
To rush to the poem in case you could help
We'll give it 24 hours and see how many reads
Am I a cynic or a realist?
We shouldn't need to ponder this one
Haw many people who knew you and your struggles
Would put pen to paper and encourage you to do it
Nobody would ever do that, not in public, right?
Nobody would double down and compliment this, right?
Think about this!
Such cruel and evil individuals actually exist
The really sad part is if the person committed suicide
They'd Celebrate and laugh, not giving a fuck
And a few supporter would join in the party
This kind would feel no guilt, too busy opening the champers
Do you know or believe this kinda scum exist?
I regret to inform you they do
You will all know one or two
Even though you might not yet be aware
Isn't it rather strange that this kinda pond life
Are the very sort who would never kill themselves?

David, you know I relate to this deeply. Yes too many will not give a damn, too damn many! Sobbing for your pain! I know this wasn't an easy scribble, you simply do not scribble. Your message through this needs to be read and shared. Biggest hug my friend.

Thank you so much it is the pain I have suffered when nobody seemed to care whether I live or died - support comes from some of the most unexpected sources.
Big Hugs :-)))))))

Never forget in all the shittyness that there are good people in the world who still believe in kindness, laughter and good stuff. Even singing. Especially when singing isn’t necessarily prescribed.
And to anybody that believes differently, to anybody that intentionally causes somebody else pain because they have not one shred of fucking humanity in the shell of themselves, literally fuck off. And when you get there - fuck off some more. I’ll even hold the door open to show your miserable poison-dipped arses out.
You are worth a million of them. And don’t ever forget that.

Indeed it is a dicey subject... right up there with euthanasia and the rest...
And talking about it sure wouldn't hurt.
Well done...lots of food for thought... Ely

It is a subject worth talking about, we treat animals better than humans, giving them death with dignity and we allow preserving life of humans at all costs.

So many nights I find myself not having the balls to do it..and definitely don't have the evil in myself to do that to my children But...I've begged God to take me out. And he doesn't listen. . So maybe, there's a reason we're still here. We care too much. Or at least more than the ones that don't.

this is a slice of wisdom, it raises the age old question of why are we here and why we remain :-))))

Re. Suicidal
One thing as a mother of 10 (because I'm pregnant with #10!) I can't help opposing is suicide. Simply because it's such a destructive influence. We aren't alive to have fun but fulfill a purpose. It's not a game. So try to have fun but whatever, don't set a bad example and abandon everyone else who also aren't having fun and aren't feeling so good either.

As a mother of 10 (congrats) It would be hard to contemplate the fall out of such an act, However when life becomes unbearable and you have no purpose then I for one would consider that as a positive action :-)))

I was wondering, speaking of dark topics like death and life's purpose.... hoping I don't seem too random....
You might remember "pig in a Web" my ham fisted attempt to satirize an old barn story in a Tray Parker/Mat Stone kind of Southparkish way.
Hoping I didn't creep you out with my cannibal piglet.... or the little rabbit boiler in training "pets or meat! Good girl!" - Heather, who wants to try out for the part of Fern in "Charlottes Web"

This made for tough reading. The cruelty of some is beyond the pale really. Suicide is desperately sad. I know a few and in each case they had so much to live for. You just don't know at times what is ticking behind the doors of the mind.

After my 5th attempt -- I shouted at the universe, " I Give Up, You Bastard! "
Then
i went on to search for different religions, philosophies and life choices that were much different from my Christian upbringing.
Eventually I found zen Buddhism and I've never been this peaceful inside.
Today, I tell people that I am a student of zen Buddhism and an eclectic witch (been practising since 1975).
I don't want to say I am an expert on this suicide subject but I remember how I felt prior to each attempt. I never succeeded -- I used to blame it on bad luck but now I believe it's because I still haven't accomplished what the universal source has laid out for me to do for our (Gaia) earth. I'm OK with that.
I thank you for putting this subject out here.
