Can You Feel Her In The Air?

Lining the bed in flannel
a chill has come

The passages of skin
fading into
longer dresses
and sleeved arms

Layers upon the geography
bodies cloaked
for the return of Autumn.

Her cool breath,
alleviating the humidity
collecting in the pits

She has her own spells to cast.
