Bellum Sacrum

And the sun will rise

Dawn breaks through the desert night

A morning made bloody as the arrow flies

Steel drawn ready to fight

They do the Lord's work

In Acre the city prepares for battle

Behind their helms light eyes lurk

Charge through the sand as armor rattles

Lance down as God wills

Read the sacrament before you ride

Steel lance racking up the kills

In the city there is nowhere to hide

The words escape their lips

A prayer to send their enemies into Hell

They came from Europe on a fleet of ships

For one purpose as far as they can tell

Battle under a cloudless desert sky

Blood stains the sand

Praises for God are the battle cries

The opening scene for the soul of the Holy Land
