Whore's Glory
this is my impressions of international whoredom
the girls call to the boys
their pussies gyrate an invitation
to get lost in lust's haven
In Thailand, the women are young and beautiful
their bodies perfection
they are honored for their profession
in the morning they pray before a shrine for many clients
punching in at the time clock like at any job
then off to the salon to get their hair and makeup done
waiting in a booth as men drink in the parlor
making eye contact with the one
girl 201 always satisfies I'll take her
the girls seem happy in their profession
party girls who giggle when a woman is picked
saying I hope his cock is too big for you in mock jealousy
upstairs is a pleasurable atmosphere
drinks and food are served around...
a big table with your girl of choice
laughter is heard a good time is had
later off to the room for pleasures of your choosing
in India, it's a much different atmosphere
street girls are sold to Madames
they check their feet, hands, breasts and hair
to determine how much the girl is worth
5.000 rupees for this girl
do better when bringing a new one
girl, you will be with me a year
to pay off your room, clothes, and makeup
sullen and unhappy the girl agrees
some of the women are very pushy
it seems an aggressive sport
as men cruise the hallways of the brothel
girls are seen dragging men into the room
they don't do certain things
if a man asks for a blowjob
he is told my mouth is used for praying
the men say the whores are needed by society
or a woman wouldn't be able to walk the street
without being molested...
most girls here are born into the profession
because no one will marry the daughter of a whore
the daughter starts to turn tricks to support her aging mother
and the cycle continues...
in Mexico the girls pray to lady death
to take them in a kind fashion
drug addiction is rampant among the girls
their eyes look dead
the men say they come to these ladies
because they do it all
anal, blowjobs etc
they couldn't live without these girls
100 pesos is normal here
it'll get you straight sex
you pay more for extra positions
if you don't get off in time that's your problem
the girls stand almost nude in front of their rooms
calling to the men
freezing their asses off
hoping to get enough to buy drugs
the reality is most of these ladies are just poor
the international sex trade is alive and well
men come from all over the world
to taste the forbidden delights
we Americans are seen as prudish in our views of sex and nudity
our ideas seem oppressive to the rest of the world
myself I think the girls are needed by society
but I would like to see them having more power
over their bodies, more freedom in choice
I hate the idea of a woman being forced into this profession
because she was stuck in poverty
I've never lived in a third world country
I'm just an outsider looking in...

U got a perfect picture here, people or men have different views and grades for the world's oldest profession, I am sure u got the Indian red street passage exact, that is why Thailand has the highest pull for male tourism,

Sex is a weapon in any language or country
I wish I had answers for my needs but I don't. I don't pay for sex and never have. I tried a few happy ending massages but just felt like a number so I ditched that concept. I can jack myself off and save $120. When you get to be my geezer age women want you for wisdom or money. Reverse muse perhaps. Sex was more fun when I was young and poor and someone
just wanted me for me.
Great look at the human sex mess

Hard words for a true slavery. You are right. How can a person just take what's not being given freely? You are an angel of vengeance. Your words are a true and preciously painful. Hugs J.

Hi, Brenda, : )
It's just Richard, dropping-in to enjoy your writing, and, ohhh-MY! What a writing it is!
Fantastically spoken, in vivid detail that hits powerfully the mind, heart, and soul.
Ya know, M'Dear, "whore" is such a hard word to refer to a professional in one of the world's oldest professions … I prefer Ladies of the Night or Sensual Little Flowers, All women (to me) are flowers.
I can almost hear the little Taiwanese girls giggling and figuring out new tricks to get the men to treat them to more generous tips, loving all the attention of being treated like little treasures … beneath it all, a sense of sadness in their little hearts, too – as in those of the others you've described so elaborately accurate and succinctly.
You are a wonderfully appealing and exciting writer, Brenda … I thoroughly enjoyed how well you use grammar, syntax, emotion, and the imagery of metaphor … a beautifully done piece.
I loved it and thank you ever-so warmly for sharing You with Us, Brenda ⁓ Richard 🌸
Thank you for treating me so sweetly, too, in your greeting and review. ; )

thank you dearest Richard I agree whore is a harsh word I think the documentary used it for more impact... the Taiwanese girls seemed very happy in their chosen profession I believe if all countries respected them the same it would be better...

Eye opening view on the sex trade. Like you say it serves a purpose but there needs to be respect and dignity to it and, of course, consent. I think some people (mainly but not exclusively men) take an attitude of I've paid for it so I own it. You would not think like that in any other service industry be it a plumber or a personal trainer, so it is equally unacceptable to think paying for sex gives you ownership of the individual.

thank you dearest RJM there seems to be a cultural stigma attached to it as well where there is respect for the trade there seems to be also more happiness...

I watched this documentary and was struck by the varying cultural treatment of the profession. I think what bothered me most about those cultures who look on it in a negative fashion is that the stigma is only applied to the woman/girl. But she wouldn't even be there if not for the men, would she? Why demean a market you've created? It sickens and saddens me. It was a reality check film though, showing different sides of the profession. I love you, beautiful Dark Angel

This is quite an education, Brenda. My experience with prostitutes is extremely limited. You catch the variety of women engaged in "the oldest profession," and it's an eye-opener. I'll have to look up that documentary. Meanwhile, loved your take on this!

I kind of think of this like any job. As long as the person is comfortable with it, also safe. I don’t see a problem. Unfortunately situations don’t always give the option of safe and comfortable. It’s a dark world that people ignore.

This documentary was pretty eye opening. I watched a few others, some centered around prostitution and porn in the States. One thing that always struck me was the stark difference between the women who truly enjoyed the profession and those who did not, forced or no. I will forever have the image burned into my mind of one porn star who, during an interview cried very real tears of sadness while simultaneously saying she enjoyed her job and what happened on set, scripted or not, was okay with her. It made my heart sad because her body language betrayed her words and she knew it. The oldest profession may contain ladies who prefer the work and even enjoy it, but there are certainly those who are deeply damaged and scarred by it.

thank you dearest Eerie for your very well thought out comment on this poem... I agree only those who choose to be in this profession should be... there is a heavy toll on the soul I believe though even if they do enjoy it...

This is one of the most documentary-like poems I’ve ever read, let alone among your works, Crim. Very well done; just when I started feeling you were veering into straight prose you take a metaphorical slide into the philosophical. This was a very mature (not just content but in terms of attitude and outlook) piece, and got me thinking in ways I didn’t expect. Excellent work, your powers are on fire

Dear Crimsin, As someone who lives in Thailand an average of 3 months a year, I was interested in your piece...and thank you for directing me to it. The Thai culture is much different than the west's...it tightropes on sex tourism and Buddhism and manages to revere both. The young ladies are incredibly bright and balance their hedonism with (what they believe to be) the only way to help their families. They are not ashamed of sex, as many in the west are. I find their attitude refreshing (especially and most importantly) because they are not exploited. Thanks for an excellent perspective!
