Love and loss
I watch the scuttling rain
Racing down the pane
As I slowly go insane
From a cacophony of pain
You use to be so near
Said you'd always be here
But now I live in fear
As your voice I'll never hear
Life has changed it’s hue
To the deepest sort of blue
As I turn to thoughts of you
And the winds that blew
Gales that took our feet
From the day that we did meet
To this moment of defeat
My life turned rancid meat
Life we struggle through
Is meant to be lived in two
Sharing love so true
Creating a family too
But as the day is dawning
Upon another morning
With other's waking, yawning
I resume my lonely mourning
A creature more meek
I grow each passing week
I’ve tumbled from my peak
Would ending it all be weak?
Racing down the pane
As I slowly go insane
From a cacophony of pain
You use to be so near
Said you'd always be here
But now I live in fear
As your voice I'll never hear
Life has changed it’s hue
To the deepest sort of blue
As I turn to thoughts of you
And the winds that blew
Gales that took our feet
From the day that we did meet
To this moment of defeat
My life turned rancid meat
Life we struggle through
Is meant to be lived in two
Sharing love so true
Creating a family too
But as the day is dawning
Upon another morning
With other's waking, yawning
I resume my lonely mourning
A creature more meek
I grow each passing week
I’ve tumbled from my peak
Would ending it all be weak?
