Slow down and listen

My heart trembles when I feel you, well up inside me
should I fear what you are about to lay on my heart
can I understand exactly what you want
Will my noise inside my head drown you out
am I too anxious to listen
am i worthy of your wisdom
Lord I wait on you, please be merciful
I may be confused for just a moment or two
earthly understanding and spirit sometimes collide
My own noise will soon begin to fade away
Then very gently I will start to feel what you say
A comfort and a sense of peace, my heart begins to yearn
I feel your love surround my fear
I want to climb inside your spirit, and know just what is right
I long to be in your presence, and have such morsels of your wisdom
Father protect me in this world until I see you in your kingdom
