Waxing Gibbous
He gazed up at the gibbous moon
His beast famished and out of sight
And his urges to remain dormant
For just one or two more bloodless nights
But finally the moon was full
And its light dancing on his skin
The beast celebrates his new freedom
And engages in the seven sins
But then still again there comes the dawn
And he wonders "Why become a beast?"
So many victims he perceives
The sheepish ones left for his feast.
His beast famished and out of sight
And his urges to remain dormant
For just one or two more bloodless nights
But finally the moon was full
And its light dancing on his skin
The beast celebrates his new freedom
And engages in the seven sins
But then still again there comes the dawn
And he wonders "Why become a beast?"
So many victims he perceives
The sheepish ones left for his feast.
