Wrong Baggage Claim
It turns out that I'm not as liked
As I thought I was
I thought that the friends I claimed
Were truthful
But I was obviously wrong
Everything is changing
Friendships are ending
Lies are becoming more abundant
And so is my desire for pain
Not pain towards others-
But to myself
The feeling of adrenaline running through my veins
And the thought of them bursting makes me lose my breath-
Makes me want more of the world-
Want things that the world can't give me
Why my friends are no longer who I thought they were
I have no idea
But the way they've been acting and treating me
I'm getting some ideas
Not the kind that get you first place in the Science Fair
Or that kind that win you a nobel prize
But the kind that make you wonder
If you can trust anyone at all
The kind that make you decide
If you believe anyone will miss you once you're
Gone
If you'll be better off
Dead or Alive
As I thought I was
I thought that the friends I claimed
Were truthful
But I was obviously wrong
Everything is changing
Friendships are ending
Lies are becoming more abundant
And so is my desire for pain
Not pain towards others-
But to myself
The feeling of adrenaline running through my veins
And the thought of them bursting makes me lose my breath-
Makes me want more of the world-
Want things that the world can't give me
Why my friends are no longer who I thought they were
I have no idea
But the way they've been acting and treating me
I'm getting some ideas
Not the kind that get you first place in the Science Fair
Or that kind that win you a nobel prize
But the kind that make you wonder
If you can trust anyone at all
The kind that make you decide
If you believe anyone will miss you once you're
Gone
If you'll be better off
Dead or Alive
